Our friend, Clare Cunningham hit the ground running this week with her single, “Genuflect” off her latest album, “Helping Hand”, freshly released today! If you’ve kept up with our previous features, you know Clare is a powerhouse, and she pulled no punches with this latest album. According to Clare, this album “is a work of love for her Lord and savior”. Don’t get it twisted, though, this is not your run of the mill religious themed music. Her single, “Genuflect” starts with bright guitars, brings in an incredible feature from ‘Da Funky Vadican’ with a sick bass drop, and only gets better from there. Whether you’re praising the Lord, or just want a dope new song to wind your body to, put “Genuflect” on this weekend. While you’re at it, give the rest of “Helping Hand” a few play-throughs, too. You won’t regret it!
Our other newly released feature today is the single, “Trigger Warning” from Jennifer Alvarado. This story of toxic love and patterning is all too familiar for many; even if you haven’t lived it, you definitely know someone who has. With production reminiscent of a blended early 00s Faith Hill and Matchbox 20, full of twangy, rhythmic guitars, and a steady pop beat, you’ll be passionately belting along with the chorus in no time.
