New Music Friday: Lord Goldie

Happy New Music Friday, everybody!

This week we’re featuring the latest release from one of our remarkable showcase alums, Lord Goldie.

Leading up to our last showcase, Erin did an artist feature on Lord Goldie, which you can read here.

If you happened to catch our last showcase held at The East Room, then you would’ve seen Lord Goldie in action! Her stage presence is compelling, and her music is equally matched. A musical force to be reckoned with; truly, she never disappoints!

Her latest single, ‘Osmosis Jane’, is a collab with Unicorn Nipple!, and takes the listener on a deep dive through a cycborg love story.

Full of funky, electronic synths, and thumping bass, this song is a dance floor banger! Lord Goldie’s smooth and rich lyrical flow, paired with Unicorn Nipple!’s cosmic vocals are a perfect combination which turn ‘Osmosis Jane’ into a hypnotic, rhythmic, otherworldly experience.

Throw this song on and get lost in space for a while! (sans Elon Musk)

Speaking of showcase alumni, if you haven’t already, check out our recent New Music Friday Feature on Mary Jennings & EvyIvy’s latest releases!

Mary Jennings’ single, ‘Sad’, is a self-proclaimed reclamation of joy whilst in the trenches of deep, unbridled sadness. Its “pseudo nouveau 80s vibe” is highlighted in her coinciding music video and adds levity to the depth of her reflective lyrics.

EvyIvy’s ‘Chisel’ is a sultry, powerful tune, reminiscent of 90s R&B with elements of synth pop. All about tearing down the walls to get to a lover’s heart, this song is brimming with building tension and heat!

If you haven’t checked these songs out yet, give ‘em a listen at the playlist link below!
