New Music Friday: Change & The Meaning of Home

This week on the New Music Friday playlist we’re featuring one of our Showcase artists, Sarah Morey!

Some of you may already be familiar with Sarah’s featured single, "Courtney Drive", as it recently surpassed 100K streams on Spotify—her first song to hit that milestone. We love to see it! For those that are just now discovering Sarah Morey and her music, prepare to feel deeply and be transported through her stories.

Sonically, “Courtney Drive” is the essence of comfort and nostalgia. With twangy guitars, a beat as steady as time itself, and vivid lyrics, you can almost smell the dust of years gone by amidst lingering fresh paint fumes. According to Sarah, “I wrote "Courtney Drive" by myself about the first house I ever lived in. The song talks about how both me and the house have changed over the years. The official music video for "Courtney Drive" debuted on The Country Network and the single was featured on Spotify's New Music Friday Country when it was released in November of 2021.”
