Broads off Broad: A Preview

This Friday, Erin McLendon & The HellCats, Jenny Teator, & Lucky Penny Sisters are hitting the stage on top of BentoLiving at Chesnut Hill’s rooftop for a power-house-vocally-packed showcase!

Learn more about what to expect below and grab your tickets here!

What is the vibe you are bringing to the showcase?

JT: Sass and rockin, soulful vocals

LPS: A vibe consistent of Whiskey Rock with a country edge.

EM&THC: A whole lot of sass, grit, and of course, awkward story-telling & stage movement.

Will you be playing any unreleased music? If so, what is it?

JT: Yes! I’ll play a song called Whiskey With Me that will be released in July.

LPS: Yes! Villain, Unchanged, Mac Day, Come Hold Me, and Skygusty.

EM&THC: Yes! My entire album releasing in August!

Songwriters are story-tellers so, which song of yours has your favorite back-story?

JT: It’s an unreleased song, called “Screaming Eagles.” A song I wrote about my grandpa who was in the 101st airborne as a paratrooper who jumped on D-Day. The verses are the letters he wrote home during war and it’s just a tribute to him and those who have served in the military.

LPS: Mac Day is about our four times great uncle, Malcom Malachai Day. He was a prohibition officer, and preacher known for busting bootleggers by setting up stings and disguising himself. The legend of “Mac Day, or The Boogie Man” is still told today in parts of West Virginia.

EM&THC: Millie is based on a true story about my Great-Grandmother & how she found out her husband as cheating on her while she was pregnant with her 5th daughter. She decided to leave him and raise them all on her own, which wasn’t necessarily done in the 1930’s. The song is based off what happened after that…(dun, dun, dun!!)

Doors open at 5 PM, show starts at 7 PM!
